For our Canadian friends.

How much is the Chevy Trax up in America's hat?

They haven't released pricing yet (as far as I know) for the Trax in America yet and I'm really curious because I really like the Trax because I'm strange.

$18,695 CAD

Which translates to roughly $17190.02 USD

But cars in Canada are usually like $1000 to $2000 more than US models for no apparent reason (The Fiat 500 is $100 cheaper in Canada base)

Also, I live near Toronto, and go to Toronto all the time, and I have never seen this in real life, so I imagine it's not a top seller.

So a couple grand more than the Sonic it's based on. Makes sense.

Same thing as the Buick Encore, right? I've seen one or two, they're surprisingly tall but not overall big cars.

I really like the looks of the Encore. Looks like a baby Enclave.

Cars are usually $3k - $20k more up here & that's after the exchange rate! Most dealers in the US won't sell a new car to a Canadian because they are threatened by the manufactures. Check out this video CBC Market Place segment they ran last year, the complete segment on our consumer based products + the car video in the link. Even the cars made in Canada shipped to the US we can't buy back.

ugh I absolutely hate that it happens, there is never a reason for it either, its just companies always want to screw with Canadians. My mom could have purchased a Fully loaded Altima from the States for the Same Price as her mid-range Civic. A bigger car with more stuff in it, completely cut out by this stupid rule.

In Mexico, you can buy the base model for $234,000 Pesos, or $17,800 U.S. dollars. Oh, and you can get it with a stick shift:

You guys always get a stick-shift!

Also, that's painted the blue I'd buy mine in.

Issue I have with it is the weird green stitching on the seats. Like why?!

Because quirky.

And probably optional.

The engine of the manual s the 1.8. The 1.4 Turbo is optional and auto-only.

That explains it, we only get the 1.4T.

Which I'm okay with, because the 1.8 is kinda lacking in torque.

Its really lacking in torque. But with some kind of chip or something, I think it can be a very fun little thingy to throw around. Like Chevys Juke!

All I know is the 1.4T can get into the upper hundreds with very light modification. And I think break 200 in the torque department.
